Day of Silence.

    I love pause point.
I call all silences and alone time a pause point because in my view it's when you stop for a moment to take a break from everything you routinely do. Working, socializing or even to stop your train of thoughts. It's been a month since I move to Bali (temporarily or to settle I still don't know yet) and tomorrow I'll be experiencing Nyepi day for the first time in my life. Not like I'm not usually feeling lonely half of my adult life, but it's different now because I have to do it practically. Practical means that I have to turn off any lights, I shouldn't be driving, no internet, no loud music, and have zero access to mini markets, bank, gas station or any other public facilities that need human to operate them. People will stay at home when it's getting dark into the night after all rituals and religious ceremonies. These activities on Nyepi fascinates me in some way. I have this feeling that people should do this more than once in a year for the sake of the life roller coaster itself. Because sometimes in adulthood in general, life moves so fast, it put you on this overexposure and you just wanted to close your door for a moment.
Few friends from work told me I could come over on Nyepi day and one even offered me her rice cooker so I can make instant food or else because there will be none people sell anything for the whole day. I get the feeling that they kind of pitied me in a way because I'm new to the city and I'm all by myself. (and I pitied myself too because living alone kind of making me broke). I'm grateful but honestly, I think I will be enjoying my alone time tomorrow. Sometimes being around with people draining my energy. Like in mortal combat or Tekken video games, when you're in a battle and been beating up until your half full of life left. That game represents me and my social life. Besides, you will only get this holiday once in a year and the solituk

(These pictures was taken around the city, with my only analog Nikon f50 and Ektar 100 film. I loaded ilford pan b/w film now but still don't know what to shoot or where to get a good shot. Does anybody have any recommendation? and this is why I should make friends at some point)
