Oatmeal, Minced Beef and Butter

No, it is not a post about food recipes. {sorry to disappoint you, my non-existent reader}... Just this morning I had a revolution on how to cook savory oatmeal as one of the few new things that I welcome in my life, other than, a new house and hair color. Today's marked as the first month of living in a new house with a completely different layout and environment. I don't know why I'm making such a big deal about it, but I did cry myself to sleep every day a week before moving out of my old house, my childhood home. I spent almost all my life at the said shelter and it holds many memories of beloved deceased family members, that I realized, once the house deconstructs by the new owner, the moments will be buried for good in the ground. Maybe, God, Himself wanted to slap me in the face for my confusing act. For months, even years, I will pray for a new better life, for a chance to start over for my family and me. Nevertheless, when the days come, I cry because deep down it ...

Domestic Happiness

Blogging is one of the ways to calming my mind. It is 10.00 PM and I'm in my bedroom with a glass of coffee stare blankly into my laptop screen looking for interesting things to write. I said in the beginning that blogging is a way to calming my mind, well, drinking coffee is also another way. In fact, I have this unfinished post for almost three weeks now. I still remember why I wanted to write this particular blog post with the title of domestic happiness. But I got lazy? maybe sleepy? or stuck? that I ended up just wrote the title and close the page altogether. Weeks ago, my mom and I went for a walk to buy a broomstick in this old grocery store in our neighborhood. The shop's owner is an old man with a pretty interesting character. This old man has a custom to always share his belief and view about God with me and my mom. A simple broomstick or other cleaning tools shopping could turn into a deep ideology sharing moment pretty quickly. No kidding. I said sharing while in fa...

Adressing World and Own World Issue

I'm kinda into the cognitive type personality theory recently, and the extraverted/introverted epitome has me hooked. There are two major functions inside one's brain that distinguish their character and how a person differs from one another, and those are sometimes, a root of different perspectives, opinions, and values that humans hold. Those two are perceiving and judging function. I'm not gonna dive deep into the definition and theory for all the functions which you can easily search and read by yourself all-over the internet. But I surely thinking over and over about the extraverted and introverted feeling that falls into the judging function category, and how it works on world condition right now. The extraverted feeling is how we make a decision based on the external value that will affect other people. Introverted feeling is making the decision based on our personal value and how it will affect ourselves. So I'm willing to address this current global dilemma...

Less and Less Words

Yesterday I just finished re-reading this anthology entitled 'Wajah Terakhir' by Mona Sylviana. I'm the type of people who read their books more than once. Maybe because I always have a newly found fascinating fact that I wasn't aware of on my first time reading them. Or maybe I'm just that nerd..? Anyway, back to Wajah Terakhir. This is maybe the only book that I like but never had the courage to re-reading it. Because there was always something that held me back every time I'm about to pick this book. You guys must be wondering why one had to have a courage to just simply read a book. But it's true. It's not just an ordinary fiction I tell you. It filled with realities with made up names and characters. But it clearly is a collection of stories about our decaying typical urban issues and irony. It's about women.     Many faces of women with dark facts on their fingertips. Honestly, I can't stand how the stories were written. They are writte...

Fragment

Crossroad-

>>play it's 2:31 AM in the morning when I'm all too full with thesis and missing writing a little too much. I will start telling you about the beginning of my day (strikes many trivial parts of course) I was notice a new artwork painted at my campus interior wall just today. I can't took a photo because of students pool in front of it, but to give you a picture, There are clouds, sky, houses and city skyline. Painted with yellow and white colours. What I do notice it's actually the only word written at the middle of the wall art: Crossroads (all caps) I sat while waiting for a friend, sat directly in front of the 3.5m x 4m artwork wall, when many nostalgia kicked in. I remembered my crossroad. Which I could say I had quite a few. I'm a thinking person. Sometimes I had many questioning thoughts at my head. Sometimes my thought calming me down or making me happy, but other times, they work the other way around. But at that artwork-starring moment, my thought emp...

In the room, Afternoon.

She dwelt among the untrodden ways Beside the springs of Dove, A maid whom there were none to praise And very few to love. - Yes I just open this post with a poem to get a bit dramatic. Unless I'm really isn't at dramatic mood at all, and those poem doesn't even mine. High five. Ugh. Sorry I watched a bit too much comedy series these whole unemployed weeks. I'm trying to joking up there. And I knew I failed. So okay, it's been so long since last time I blog and life's pretty amazing lately. Yesterday I just got myself into this new church community and whole new friends which is really fun. Honestly, more of that, I'm feeling blessed. God had been so amazing. Life was pretty sad and I was a little lost few months ago between what this called hormone and feelings. I have this friend who always, I don't know, have a faith in me. Like how many times I said no and bring her down, she always just there believe I would find an answer. I'm still in this pro...

Shoulder Blade

Our minds work like that. They are forgetting. Things we see now, a person we remember now, a person we love now are all in the proccess of fading away from our memory. Ephemeral.

Everyone is a lesson. a story

I don't think how one could meet with another are simply a coincidence. I believe in how the universe work in mysterious ways and make people's path crossed. People leaved but stories stayed. lessons learned. Some brought you drink and took you places, some trying to be your best when they already are, some leaves you with hate, or some leave you loved. Someone you shared your first gelato with and maybe someone you wanted to hug, how they smell so much like your pillow. I don't think how one could meet with another are simply a coincidence. I believe in how the universe works in mysterious ways and make people's path crossed. And if ever anything changes, everything would last.

Time

I REMEMBER READING this book about different worlds exist with different rule of time. One that catch my memory is the world where people discovered that time moves slowly the farther from the center of earth. So people build their house as high as they could. They build their shelter at the top of the mountain feeling secure that youth will stay with them longer than whoever at lower level of earth. At this point, I was thought what's so glorious about live young as long as you can when you'll get old eventually, about live as long as you can when you'll die eventually. But the idea of staying a little longer from wrinkle are kind of tempting maybe.
(Opposite) the weather is so hot I can see the sunlight ripped through the thick windows. I miss the rain. I hate you like I hate the word selfie and the font comic sans. People gather all the words, confuse people. you have to find the right distance between people. too close, and they overwhelm you, too far and they abandon you. - Hanif Kureishi Miss I miss you so much I could kill a giant black furry bear just by staring at it. But because there are no big black furry bears around, I'm off to bed and try to kiss you in my sleep instead. - Wasted Rita Flaws all of your flaws and all of my flaws are laid out one by one. look at the wonderful mess that we made, we pick ourselves undone. - flaws by Bastille I don't know a perfect person. I only know flawed people who are still worth loving. - John Green You I never imagined you would settle with someone so ordinary when I thought you were extraordinary. But that was probably the typical thought for someone in love. You know the ...

Being icy

I've been all mean just to shoo you away, but apparently it didn't work out? I'm started to think that maybe -just maybe, you are that amazing.

Memantaskan diri.

Music and love

do you know? that there're some songs that sometimes talk about our feeling better than we can explain about it. that there're times when you can't describe your feeling, then you put on some songs to do it. or when you can't say sorry to a person, then you cover a sweet song with apologize words in it to him/her. that there're some people can't well understand what people saying, but can understand it enough through a melody. that the sound they hear save them because they disable to talk and see. do you know? that there only one feeling in this world you can't even phrase. that time you hear the word love and there's one person face shows up in your head. that just by remember his/her name your mind going crazy. that just by a single glance makes you smile a whole day. do you know a little similarity between music and love?  they both make you fallin by a reason you can't make sense by feeling you didn't understand.

(Meaning) An unrealistic hope or fantasy. (Origin) The allusion is to the dreams experienced by smokers of opium pipes. Opiates were widely used by the English literati in the 18th and 19th centuries. Samuel Taylor Coleridge was one of the best known users, and it would be difficult to claim that the imagery in surreal works like Kubla Khan owned nothing to opium. Lewis Carroll, although not known to be an opium user himself, makes clear allusions to drug use in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has his hero Sherlock Holmes visit an opium den - although that was for research rather than consumption. - source ... i'm a big fan of fantasy. irrational things that free you to set your own scenario. first chapter until the very hanging end. i often place in the situation of discussing some issue and find myself talk about the absurd opinion which makes everybody else give that strange speechless look. i watch movie and while my mind slowly drowning into the st...

bold : most loved All I know is that while I’m asleep, I’m never afraid, and I have no hopes, no struggles, no glories — and bless the man who invented sleep, a cloak over all human thought, food that drives away hunger, water that banishes thirst, fire that heats up cold, chill that moderates passion, and, finally, universal currency with which all things can be bought, weight and balance that brings the shepherd and the king, the fool and the wise, to the same level. There’s only one bad thing about sleep, as far as I’ve ever heard, and that is that it resembles death, since there’s very little difference between a sleeping man and a corpse -Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra I will love you as a drawer loves a secret compartment, and as a secret compartment loves a secret, and as a secret loves to make a person gasp, and as a gasping person loves a glass of brandy to calm their nerves, and as a glass of brandy loves to shatter on the floor, and as the noise of glass shattering loves to ma...
