Allora!  here are results for my fourth roll and I can say that I wasn't so fail this time. It still look over-contrast for my taste but still, I love how it turned out! It was 2015 when I started my interest on analog photography and I'm still not good enough. Maybe because I wasn't so productive. Can you count, 2 years has passed, only on my fourth roll.      These are taken in RPTRA Kalijodo, Jakarta. A brief history about this place, it's quite interesting I tell you. This place was originally, an infamous place for prostitution and gamble around Penjaringan area. Kali means river and Jodo means soulmate. Which kind of a poetic name for a red-light district.. However, this place is one of the oldest part of Jakarta contain many interesting history of all kind you can easily find on Wiki. Thus, it's been through some of the important country timeline, culture and public function. As one of Ahok, Jakarta former governor work mission, this place...

-always be my favorite. I have a friend that once said to me that she is a really lyrical person for a music. It means like she concerns a lot about what the songs lyric's all about, and it a significant capacity that shows whether it's a good song or not. It makes me analyze my preference subconsciously towards my friend's statement. I'm a fan of words. it's true. Good, poetical and positive meaning words means much to me. I like books and I adore movies with fine dialogue. But then, I realize how is it exactly, my brain processing music. Melody, ambiance, colours, hot or cold, shine or dark, strawberries or apple, a sunset or a manicurely beautiful landscape are all these random things I kinda felt or imagine when I hear musics. I mean, basically musics could stand without any words and it can be that abstract. It can be just sound that don't have their own identity but melt with other sound beautifully (quote Branco and Thomas, Phoenix) I tried an experiment ...

The Five People You Meet in Heaven

Last week, I finished this one novel by Mitch Albom. First impression, it's surprised me how the plot of the story flowed exactly like the title representation. I thought that this title will just be a metaphor to a reality that the main character played. But turned out it's a semi-superstitious story that aligning realities of life as the main structure. I'm not good at writing a book review, but I'd like to write about what I feel throughout my reading. First thing, this story had touched me in a way that I always share a soft part in. A story about feeling worthless and sad and surrendering as a human being. About what to do when your life didn't work out as planned. About many things in our past, we hope we could change. Decisions that we regret. People that we wished we never had known and words that we wished we never had said. The purpose of every person that Eddie encounter in his newly days in Heaven are to make sense of his yesterday. It written: "Thi...

Where can I meet you, my doppelganger?

In two or three days ago I watched a BBC research video about parallel worlds. A world that exists beyond our own reality. An infinite existence that similar but yet so different from the world that we knew. This theory states that there are many versions of our own self. With the exact same face, posture and hair texture, but living a very different life and maybe have a very different character too. It also states that our reality is overlapping with another version of our reality, but we can't grasp each other world. Each world cannot be cross one another because if ever we meet our doppelganger, the world will be in chaos. This got me thinking. I'm sure I wanted to meet the other version of me in one of overlapping layers of life. I wanted to see if she does well more than I could do. I wonder if she would be an architect or interior designer? or maybe a sculpture artist? But it will be too obvious. How about, she is maybe a culprit, or a gypsy wanderer that didn't have...

Fragment

Crossroad-

>>play it's 2:31 AM in the morning when I'm all too full with thesis and missing writing a little too much. I will start telling you about the beginning of my day (strikes many trivial parts of course) I was notice a new artwork painted at my campus interior wall just today. I can't took a photo because of students pool in front of it, but to give you a picture, There are clouds, sky, houses and city skyline. Painted with yellow and white colours. What I do notice it's actually the only word written at the middle of the wall art: Crossroads (all caps) I sat while waiting for a friend, sat directly in front of the 3.5m x 4m artwork wall, when many nostalgia kicked in. I remembered my crossroad. Which I could say I had quite a few. I'm a thinking person. Sometimes I had many questioning thoughts at my head. Sometimes my thought calming me down or making me happy, but other times, they work the other way around. But at that artwork-starring moment, my thought emp...
